This professional development opportunity will provide participants with a refresher on how to take, score, and analyze a running record accurately. Participants will dive into how to use a running record to look for decoding skills as well as the 3 cue systems of meaning, structure, and visual. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice taking and scoring a running record and discuss how to use the results to guide their reading instruction. Using a running record with decodable text as well as using a modified record form to look at the decoding skills of a student will also be reviewed.
