Fall Professional Development Opportunities

Ohio Department of Education is allowing teachers to obtain their Ohio Mentor Certification this fall via a Virtual Mentor Academy. This is a blended learning academy consisting of asynchronous work in Google Classroom and two, two-hour long Zoom meetings participants are encouraged to register for Day 1 and Day 2 dates that are one week apart.

The principles of accurate, ethical grading don’t end with the movement to remote instruction. Join us in this virtual training for a provocative and practical look at ethical and accurate grading, then which of those principles and practices transfer to remote instruction situations.

The current emergency, remote instruction situation has amplified teachers’ concerns about students’ cheating and plagiarizing, as well as parent over-assistance, while students are working from home. Join us in this virtual training for a revealing examination of why students cheat on their school work – some of which may surprise educators, as well as specific steps we can take to minimize that cheating.
